Why is it a risk?
The dating platform Waplog enables users to meet strangers geographically nearby. The minimum age of use is 17+, the reason being (as disclosed by the App Store) that there is a high risk of mature/suggestive themes, in addition to sexual content and nudity. There are high predatory risks associated with Waplog. In 2018 an adult male was jailed for 18 months and made the subject of a 10-year sexual harm prevention order after he tried to meet up with a 14-year-old girl for sex, having groomed her through the platform.
